The vintage takes its name from the hollow in the landscape of the valley of Orveau. Cultivated on 80-year-old vines on clay-limestone soil, it has a pretty ruby color with hints of cherry. The nose is very aromatic with notes of redcurrant, tobacco and coffee. The palate is tannic and woody with a beautiful aromatic power. A Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru to enjoy around a nice table with friends! Located in the upper part of the Clos de Vougeot, the place called “Petit Maupertui”, located directly under the Grands Echézeaux, is certainly one of the most popular parts of this large enclosure. A slight slope faces the east. The vines are grown biodynamically.
