We represent "Vins Marcon", which for more than 70 years has been a wine merchant and distributor in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, a village perched at 1,200 meters above sea level on the eastern foothills of the Massif Central.
"We primarily explore independent, medium-sized houses that we have a good relationship with and that share the same values of promoting high quality products, cultivated on our common soil. Our value lies within our close relationship with our collaborators, guaranteeing that we offer you only the best quality wine"
— Johannes Marcon - CEO of Vins Marcon
In 1948, Joannès and Marie-Louise Marcon, grandparents of the CEO, embarked on an adventure and left the family farm to start a business as an innkeeper and wholesaler. Ten years later, the company moves from a wholesaler activity to distributor of fine wines for wine merchants and restaurateurs.
In France, the family is particularly known for their very famous 3 stars Michelin restaurants located in the same village. They cook with seasonal products from the region, to bring the traditional flavors to their recipes, all for the love of innovation.
The family also run a hotel, bakery, bar, and a tea salon in the same village.
“Vins Marcons” is the link between the producers and the professionals that serve the customer. We primarily explore independent, medium-sized houses and our job is to have good relationship with the local producers so that we can ensure the quality of the product as it goes through the entire production process. The whole journey from the winegrower to the consumer. Ensuring that we offer you only the best quality wine, so that you can experience an exceptional journey while tasting our carefully selected wine selection.
French wine is produced all throughout France, in quantities between 50 and 60 million hectoliters per year, or 7–8 billion bottles. France is one of the largest wine producers in the world, along side Italian, Spanish, and American wine-producing regions.
France is the source of many grape varieties (such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot noir, Sauvignon blanc, Syrah) that are now produced throughout the world, as well as wine-making practices and styles of wine that have been adopted in other producing countries.
